Several of my post titles since April are quotes/snippets that have compelled three of you to wonder, "Who's Simon?"

Simon 'Templar' Drake is from Shadow of the Templar series, which some of you probably have heard about from sansa1970's rec last year. The series follows an FBI team and a world-famous jewel thief in a series of cases. The main pairing is Simon Drake (FBI team leader)/Jeremy Archer (thief). Smut Love for every holiday: A regular holiday-a-thon community

The stories posted at holidaysmut are mostly original slash, but fanfic, femmeslash and het are also welcome. Using HP fandom's smut-o-meter, a lot of the stories I've seen are in the PG-13 range. (If I'm looking at the tamer stories, by all means, someone link me to the NSFW ones =P)

To quote the mod:

[A]ny rating is welcome, too. Despite the comm name, we definitely value romance over smut, so it doesn't have to be smut. Smut is, of course, welcome.^_^

Rights, I guess, equals entitlement, equals a demand for privilege. It's hard for me to think of a right to be free when I've grown up in a family and a society where my family members - and country members - have sacrificed everything they are (in "Western terms") for their family. Their time, all their income, every inch of their soul and being, in family. Their children are their assets, their stability is their bedrock. Whatever right one has to be something less than practical, to leave the family home, that right gets overwhelmed by other desires. Same as freedom. The desire to see parents happy, or the wish for a smooth life, even in exchange for doing what one loves.

3. Why Aren't People Commenting on My Post/Story/Whatever?

Gave out 18 this year (lots of cousins GAH). I put $5 on top of two chocolate coins in golden wrappers & six assorted Japanese gummy fruit candies. Instant sugar rush and crash lol. Every single one of them gobbled everything at one sitting. From the 7-y.o.s to the 19-y.o.s. Heh.
Next year will give them 4 instead of 6 gummy candies each ^^;;

* That was also my first time ever scoring #1 @ writing_game. Is it a sign? lolol
