The original is an always-a-girl!Spock genderbend. The remix is Jim's pov, and his finding out (via his slutty ways myriad charms) that Spock is practically royalty. I love how the remix shows the differences of the Kirk/Spock dynamic when Spock's male instead of female.

O/T: In other news, Michael Rosenbaum's Adina/Adam is the only 3-D character in Sorority Boys. I wasn't expecting anything but a stereotypical slapstick comedy (w/ bonus crossdressing Rosenbaum!), so his acting really impressed me =D (believable character, inner conflict, repress repress repress, deny deny deny)
Also, he looks SO YOUNG in that movie.

1. Uhura: It got awkward after he got caught with his pants down with Gaila. At one point he thought she only batted for the girl team, because nothing else explained why she didn't celebrate the awesomeness that is James T. Kirk.

2. Bones: Jim would tap that grumpy Southern doctor so hard, except Bones was the only best friend he had. And painfully straight besides. (They never talked of the My Divorce Papers Came Through Incident.)

3. Chekov: Sulu would kill him. (Didn't stop Jim from calling him "Ensign Jailbait" though.)

4. Nurse Chapel: She's blond and hot, and not entirely immune to his charm. But he once caught her making goggly eyes at Spock. I know, right?

5. Ambassador Spock: It was cold at Delta Vega, but not that cold.

i. Spock: Jim decided to cut the middle man (or women) and go straight to the cockblocking source.

Just came back from watching ST:XI for the third time. rea_saint pointed out to me that Kirk's mom is played by ( SPOILER, sort of )

1. Captain Kirk always flirts, and he doesn't have an "off" switch. Chekov is relieved that the Captain only teases him by calling him "Ensign Jailbait."

2. The beautiful and competent Lt. Uhura only treats him like a little brother.

3. Dr. McCoy is old.

4. Spock is intelligent and has a commanding presence, but it would unnerve him to be the focus of that measuring gaze for long.

5. Like everyone else on the U.S.S. Enterprise, Sulu is older than him. Sulu never pats his curls though, and he grinned that time Chekov said fencing was invented in Russia.

In other news, even though Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) is a cheap, loli-shota knock-off of Kaori Yuki's Count Cain, I did enjoy the Bengali Prince arc, because no manga is complete without SURPRIZE appearance of South Asian/Middle Eastern/teeny European Kingdom royalty.

Also, can't help but be amused by the American chef (An American chef in a British household? lololol).

Okay, I lie, my fav. character is still the Bengali prince's servant.

Like a gazillion other people have said, it was GLORIOUS.

I like every single character in that movie, and that _never_ happened to me before.
Yes, including the evil Romulan guy, who I found vaguely hot (which is understandable because he was played by Eric Bana, who played Hector in Troy).
I even like Spock's mother (didn't recognize Winona Ryder until her third appearance X-D)
